Enjoy a night with friends and colleagues, a formal plated dinner, presentation of the 2022 Leadership Awards, and a champagne toast to celebrate the Chamber’s 50th anniversary followed by music and dancing with Bob's Brother's Band. Community Leader Award Recipient
Karen Rumfola, past Regional Director, Livingston/Wyoming United Way
The Community Leader Award recognizes an individual or business Chamber Member that has made a notable contribution to the quality of life in the community. The award winner must have demonstrated active involvement in the community in the form of either volunteering personal time or providing financial support for charitable and worthy activities that enrich, protect or entertain the citizenry of Livingston County. Nominees should be tireless in their quest to challenge the status quo in order to improve life in Livingston.
Education Leader Award Recipient
Olie Olson, Metal Trades Instructor, Genesee Valley BOCES
The Education Leader Award recognizes a current or former Chamber member that has demonstrated a long-term and consistent pattern of educational leadership, achievements and impact in their field. This candidate is distinguished as an outstanding educational leader, while also showing the ability to create environments that inspire intellectual curiosity and critical thinking as they support faculty and encourage diverse viewpoints.
Business Leader Award Recipient
Joe Yantachka, III, Owner, Partyman Catering
The Business Leader Award recognizes a Chamber Member CEO, founder, president or managing partner of a For-Profit company that has been in operation for at least three consecutive years. This Business Leader is first and foremost an outstanding business person who displays high business and personal integrity. Additionally, they promote diversity in the business community, understand the importance of community service and are civically engaged. Through their mentoring of other business leaders, they are committed to creating a positive regional business climate through development, growth and investment in Livingston County.
Government Leader Award Recipient
Jennifer Rodriguez, Public Health Director, Livingston County Department of Health
The Government Leader Award is presented to a current or past elected or appointed government official who has demonstrated the bipartisan leadership and constructive governing necessary to move our country forward.
Future Leader Award Recipient
Mary Ellyn Merle, Project Manager, Genesee Construction Service
The Future Leader Award is presented to a young professional who strives toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment in their chosen field, devotes time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forges paths of leadership for others to follow. The Future Leader is one with less than ten years of industry experience but still provides innovative leadership within their business or organization and demonstrates a passion and commitment to that business.
