POSITION: Dishwasher
Pay Rate: min wage to $18 an hour depending on experience.
HOURS: Wednesdays through Sundays, availability required, approximately 20 to 40 hours per week
DUTIES:
· Keep work space clean and fully stocked.
· Ensure that all food storage areas are stocked and tidy.
· Inform managers of low stock levels.
· Use of the dishwasher to sanitize all plates, utensils and glassware.
· Use proper cleaning solutions for the preparation and storage areas.
· Ensure all refuse is removed from the kitchen and put into the correct recycling bins, as needed.
· Ensure professional and appropriate appearance.
· Ensure that the correct close down procedure are followed, i.e. everything left
clean, tidy and secure, ready for the next day.
· Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with the NYS Dept of Health’s, health, hygiene, quality and safety standards.
· Promote customer satisfaction through all actions and behaviors.
· Other duties as assigned by any manager on duty.
Position Requirements
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School students and collage students preferred. Restaurant experience a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong work ethic, ability to work with a team, flexible schedule, and excellent communication skills needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to handle physical activities, stand and walk for long periods of time and lift weight in excess of 40 pounds is essential.
