The Arc 5K Run/Walk in Memory of Ramon Rocha

The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming will hold its annual 5K Run/Walk in memory of Ramon Rocha on Saturday, September 7th at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Road in Geneseo. Registration is scheduled for 9:00am, and the race will begin at 10:00am. The Arc 5K is a 3.1 mile race through the scenic Village of Geneseo, with trophies awarded to overall winners, and medals by age group. The course is certified for accuracy by USA Track & Field. Participants can register in advance at discounted prices by visiting lwarc.org or calling (585) 658-2828 ext. 128: $20 per individual participant, or $17 per person for teams of four or more people. On race day, those registration fees will be $25 per person. The first 150 registrants will receive commemorative t-shirts. All money raised will benefit The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming Foundation, a private, not-for-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in our local communities. The event is held in memory of Ramon Rocha, a SUNY Geneseo professor and board member at The Arc. A growing list of sponsors includes Summit Family Dental, MVP, Genesee Valley Federal Credit Union, Dansville Mini Storage, Seating Inc., and Once Again Nut Butter. The race will be timed by WNY Finish Line & Timing Services. The Arc 5K Run/Walk is part of the Geneseo Trio partnership of road races that also includes the Oak Tree 5K/Half Marathon (September 1) and Friday Knight 5K (September 20).
