Hammer and Sparks

We’re kicking off a brand-new collaboration at Ironwood Studios with Mark the British Blacksmith —and this one is going to be HOT!

On Friday, October 9th from 1–5pm , Mark is bringing his forges to the barn for a fun-filled afternoon of hammering, forging, and welding .

You’ll learn basic blacksmithing techniques and forge two one-of-a-kind metal flowers with Mark. Then, we’ll head into the studio where metal sculptor Stacey Mrva will guide you through welding your flowers together into your very own sculpture.

A little fire. A little muscle. A few sparks. And a whole lot of fun.

Come get your hands dirty and discover what happens when blacksmithing meets metal sculpture!

No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to swing a hammer!

Workshops are a supportive space for individuals who identify as women, gender-binary, and non-binary individuals. Come weld, laugh, and leave with new skills, a finished piece, and serious bragging rights.
