Maintenance Foreman/Supervisor Pollution Control

The maintenance foreman pollution control  will oversee the quality of work performed by their department, the daily work flow & schedules.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of department as assigned.
• Ensures that employees perform their work efficiently and in accordance with department goals.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Essential Duties:
1. Maintains inventories of all spare parts and stock spare parts (belts, motors, bearings, etc.) needed for repairs.
2. Ensures the department has appropriate staff to meet objectives & goals.
3. Ensures that employees comply with company policies and safety standards.
4. Stock and record baghouse bags when used.
5. Compare prices and quality of bags from different vendors.
6. Keep track /record of baghouse dust weights for environmental department and fire reporting requirements.
7. Inspect duct work and coordinate with Furnace Dept., Welding Dept., when repairs are needed.
8. Work closely with Environmental Department on regulations and safety inspections.
9. Schedule yearly maintenance and cleaning.
10. Coordinates with human resources to respond to employee concerns and complaints.
11. Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, etc.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned by the maintenance director.

4. Able to work on elevated surfaces and man lifts.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Computer Skill, knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel


Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The temperature level in the work environment can be hot during summer.

Physical Demands:
The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The position involves walking and standing for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse environment.
The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects.
The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi limb coordination. Use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must have good stamina.

Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday.
40 Hrs. per week. The employee must able to work all shifts as needed and able to work overtime as needed.
