Agreement to Terms of Participation
The Livingston County Chamber’s Shop IN Livingston Gift Certificate Program (The Program) is designed to support our local business members by driving revenue to Livingston County area businesses while embracing how important it is Shop IN Livingston. The Program allows anyone to purchase gift certificates from participating businesses. Purchasers are able to purchase multiple certificates to varying operations for a defined value (between $10 - $100) all within the same transaction. Purchasers will be able to securely check out through the Chamber’s online store (purchaser must pay for check in full before the checks are distributed). By registering for The Program you understand and agree to the following terms and specifics of the program: • You will validate the Shop IN Livingston Gift Certificates purchased for redemption at your business for the cash value represented on the certificate • You confirm and understand that all certificates will be valid and redeemable through December 31, 2022. • Gift certificates are available in a self-determined value of $10 - $100. • Drawn off of a closely monitored Chamber Checking Account. • Contain security features for the Chamber’s and Participant’s safety including: o Each certificate is a 3-ply carbon certificate numbered sequentially.  The first layer is completed by Chamber staff with the purchaser’s details and mailed to either the purchaser or their designated recipient  The second layer(s) will be mailed to the participating business along a reconciled check for all certificates sold on behalf of your business. Once your business receives this documentation, the certificate is now your business’ asset and should be treated accordingly on your books. • Gift certificates are made payable to the purchaser designated business • You will need to reconcile gift certificates redeemed to the certificate copy that was sent to you by the Chamber with your bi-weekly payments so as to validate the certificate use. • Be sure to decide on your policy for partial redemptions. If a customer spends less than the Gift certificate value, you can offer cash back, store credit, or issue a store gift certificate for the balance. It is up to you. • The program enrollment will be renewable on or before the anniversary date of original enrollment, at which time a new enrollment form must be signed. This current program enrollment is valid through December 31, 2022. • Participation in The Program includes your business name and if provided, your company logo, on the Chamber’s online store within the category(ies) selected by your business. • You will remain a participant until we receive in writing to remove you from the program. As a participant, you have the right to refuse any Shop IN Livingston Gift Certificate that appears altered, copied, or that is stale dated. Program terms, conditions, advertising fees, and benefits are subject to change. Changes will be posted on the Livingston County Chamber’s website and available in the office. The Chamber does not guaranty the increase of sales or customers by participation. The Chamber is providing this service as a benefit to member businesses in the Livingston County Area. The Chamber shall not be responsible for any incidental, consequential, or other damages resulting from the program. Our business has read and agrees to the terms outlined above, and agrees to participate in the Livingston County Area Chamber of Commerce Shop IN Livingston Gift Certificate program.
