Free Style Mercantile located at the junction of routes 383 & 36 in the hamlet of Mumford, was born from Russell Free’s vision to restore an old building and reimagine the convenience store—a neighborhood-style “Ma and Pa” shop offering fresh, made from scratch, homemade-style food, baked goods, local products, craft beer (we do love our beer), and everyday essentials, all with a strong sense of community. Located right on the Oakta Creek, sit outside at one of our picnic tables and enjoy watching the eagles and eaglets in their nest kitty corner from our store.
