Sparks & Strings: A Welding + Macrame Workshop for Women

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind creative collaboration where sparks fly and strings get stylish! Ironwood Studios is teaming up with Buffalo Macrame to host Sparks & Strings, a hands-on workshop just for women that blends the boldness of welding with the beauty of macrame.

In this 4-hour experience, participants will learn the basics of MIG welding, metal bending, and power tool safety while creating a custom steel plant hanger. Then, they’ll head upstairs to learn knotting techniques with Buffalo Macrame founder Andrea Silvestrini, who turned her passion for macrame into a beloved teaching practice during lockdown.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to get creative and maybe a little dirty. All materials (metal, rope, pot), safety gear, and instruction are included, along with a commemorative bandana and plenty of laughs.

Spots are limited to 16 participants to keep the vibe fun, safe, and personal.
